About
I am Nicholas Evans, a 18-year-old open-source advocate and vegetarian currently residing in New Haven, CT, US of A. I’m a bit of a hacker. I specialize in web application development, SOAP webservice development, and administrating GNU/Linux servers.
I am a registered Republican, although I do not support John McCain or any other GOP candidates for federal offices. The same would hold true if I were a Democrat; neither of the parties has had a very good track record over the last eight years. Come 2008, I will probably be throwing my support behind Ralph Nader, as he is most viable pro-peace candidate. You can thank Reddit for making me this bitter.
In my off hours, I enjoy chatting on IRC, playing Starcraft (a classic), and tinkering with my home network and homebrew software. I have also written several draft novels as a part of NaNoWriMo, but they’re all crap.
For the past several years, I have mainly posted on political topics, and those posts have been few and far apart. I would like to make an effort to bring more technical content to the site to balance those posts out.
If you want to learn more about me, then dig into the archives. I have made an effort to ensure that every blog post I have written, be it to any of my short-lived LiveJournals or old OwlManAtt.com blogs, is contained herein. A lot of my older content is childish and wrongheaded, but for better or for worse, you can read it.
If you want to grab any of my software, head over to my GitHub page. All sorts of fun things can be found there!
